Heavy Blog is Heavy Says:
"Far from being completely unknown—thanks to the popularity of his clarinet covers—Gleb is an incredible musician, but his original output is criminally overlooked. Asleep, which is coming out in January 2019, probably won’t change that, because of how experimental and challenging it is for the 'common mortal', but it will be a fascinating listen for anyone who dares dive into it. It’s a solo bass clarinet album filled with distortion and advanced playing techniques. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but this album is brutal and amazing."

Toilet Ov Hell says:
"...On forthcoming solo album Asleep we find the performer embracing serious musicianship and crafting a sonic landscape of primal, eldritch horror. Asleep features three tracks of blown out clarinet music, blasted sans mouthpiece through multiple guitar amps into a wall of sputtering pulsing white noise. While the songs certainly feature more variety than most noise music, with Gleb scooping into low register rumbles and enough squeals to make your knees quiver, the overriding sense is one of unfiltered, inevitable weight. If that all sounds like an album in which to lose yourself in the dread ambiance of twilight, never to return again to the land of men as you await total annihilation, that’s entirely the point; Gleb’s tone is all doom, all the time. This cicada scream of textural horror is a surprisingly effective harbinger of the end."

A Closer Listen says:
[On the opening track], Kanasevich’s [bass clarinet] is a persistent gust of wind, blowing in from the nearby shores of black metal. On the cassette release, this opener is substantially longer. It begins on a brighter note, in a waking world that still has a shine. On the remaining two tracks, Kanasevich produces rich but alarming noise, taking the clarinet ever further from its familiar settings. At times, the instrument sounds much like a guitar – high pitched in chaotic solos, or deep in doom metal riffs. At other moments, it sounds like the malfunctioning engine of an unknown machine, built in the unconscious by some nefarious force.
